Ingredients

Filling:

  • 2 lb onions, diced into 1 in cubes
  • 1/4 bell pepper, diced into 1 in cubes
  • 50 g sliced garlic
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Cumin
  • Sweet paprika
  • Oregano
  • Chili Flakes
  • Nutmeg
  • 2 lb white fish fillets
  • 30 g finely chopped hot pepper
  • 30 g chopped coriander
  • 20 g chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
  • Zest of 1 lemon

Mashed Potato Topping:

  • 2 lb potatoes, cut into large cubes
  • 100 g butter
  • 300 g whole milk
  • 50 g grated cheese

Procedure:

For the Filling:

  1. In a large pan, sauté onions, bell pepper, and garlic until softened.
  2. Season with salt, black pepper, cumin, sweet paprika, oregano, ground chili, and nutmeg according to taste.
  3. Add white fish fillets to the pan and cook until they are fully cooked and flaky.
  4. Stir in hot peppers, coriander, parsley, mozzarella, and lemon zest. Mix well until combined.
  5. Preheat your MB Chef Oven to the desired temperature (recommendation: 400°F).

For the Mashed Potato Topping:

  1. Boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash them.
  2. In a separate saucepan, heat butter and add milk. Once warm, pour the mixture over the mashed potatoes and mix until smooth.
  3. Stir in grated cheese into the mashed potatoes.

Assembly:

  1. In a baking dish, spread the fish mixture evenly.
  2. Top it with the mashed potatoes, spreading them to cover the fish mixture completely.
  3. Use a fork to create a pattern on the mashed potatoes, and sprinkle a bit of extra cheese on top.
  4. Bake in the preheated MB Chef Oven for approximately 20-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  5. Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.
